Hey guys!

Just got back from the epic journey to Fantaisies dans le Monde des Rêves this morning.

Oh my goodness, what an adventure! I went with a few friends and we ended up getting STUCK in San Fran! Our rides car broke down, and drama drama.

I'll upload some photos from the event later tonight (I already uploaded a ton to my facebook)

But I just wanted to explain and complain a little bit.

So we got there on Friday and poked around the Magical Boutique a bit.

Ran into some people I knew, and made new friends~ The Magical Boutique was great! albeit a tad bit lacking. Everything was super expensive, as expected.*

*(Seriously, $25 for a tiny plastic ring?!

Sorry Angelic Pretty, I love you as much as the next sweet lolita, but that's a bit much for a piece of plastic with your logo on it....)

I fell in love with Wonder Cookie, which surprised me a bit because I'm not normally too into the super busy prints that AP has. Needless to say, I am now absolutely broke...

The event was great though there were some minor issues. The fashion show was a blast, and Kokusyoku Sumire's performance went perfectly. The snacks were delicious, and the little gift bags were a cute and thoughtful touch!

But, as I said before there were quite a few setbacks to the event.

This was really my first real step into the egl community, and I have to say I didn't feel entirely welcome.

Especially not after all the bashing of the girl who won the contest!

I just want to throw it out there that the girl who won Miss EGL 2010 deserved to win. She was cute, and talented and out of the three contestants I'd say she did the best in the performing section hands down.

It was a talent show not a beauty pageant, right? I mean, I was under the impression it was a talent show. So what's with all the hate?!

Anyways asides from the contest, the tea party was pretty fun!

There were definitely a few things that could have gone smoother.

For one, we could have gotten into the room in time instead of and hour and a half later.

It was all because the keyboard that Kokusyoku Sumire were given wasn't the "right one" or something.

Kokusyoku Sumire was great though they performed waaaaay too long anyways.

None of us had eaten lunch because we assumed they would give us food... and they kind of did. After what seemed like an hour long performance and half hour intermission.

Also the tea was served in coffee mugs.

Which isn't really that big of a deal, but I mean it's a tea party right?

Since the performances went so long we didn't have much time to play any games. The only "game" was a kind of lottery, where we each got a little prize ball and if you got a paper that said a color then you win that color prize.

Lucky me! I got the "gold prize" which was supposedly the "highest prize"

Yeah, I got a tote bag that I will never ever use.

At least I can sell it though!

But all in all the event was worth it.

If not for the actual main event itself then instead for the friends and memories gained from going!

Hi again!

Yesterday was Brendan and my two year anniversary!

Congrats to us!

Anywho, I just ordered a lovely skirt from Miss Muertes on the EGL comm sales!

I'm very excited because it will be my first btssb skirt!

it's the Mother Goose print in Pink, rather than Blue

It's really a lovely print, and the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle was one of my absolute favorites as a kid!

I might actually wear it to Fantaisies dans le Monde des Rêves!

I am so so excited! It will be quite the adventure, as I'm planning on pretty much road-tripping it up to San Jose with a few other Lolitas! I've never really done anything quite like it before, so I'm very eager for the 28th!

Expect many pictures!

In other news the maid cafe I applied to turned me down...

I guess I'm not that surprised.

Don't mind me just sulking in the corner..

Hey guys! Miss me? ^o^

I've kind of let my blog grow cobwebs...

So much has happened since my last post! I don't even know where to start!

I applied to a maid cafe quite a while ago and just got turned down ...

I'm not feeling the best, so I guess I'll just post some pictures I've taken ~

I've moved into a new place~

It was all creme colored and it was driving me crazy! So I painted the walls pink!

Also! I got a puppy dog!

His name is Lt. Moogle, and he's almost 2 years old!

He's a "Pomimo"

(which is half Pomeranian and half American Eskimo!)

He's so cute! He's a little diva~

In the summer I went to Tokyo with my father and then Kanazawa for the rest of the month with a host family!

This is my host family!

It was a lot of fun being in Kanazawa! There was a lot of "engrish" there~ I'll post a seperate blog I think about all the engrish that I encountered!

In Tokyo I was able to visit Harajuku and go to many of my favorite brand stores!

:D It was really fun!

Anyways so now I'm in college and it's really cool to think that I'm living alone, though it is rather lonely. In Japan I was able to make it to Tenshi no Sato, which is the largest Volks doll store/museum/garden/cafe in Japan!

It was great, because I was able to sit down and custom make a lovely little girly doll named Melody!

She's a sweetie!

And I also got a lovely little limited Pipos kitty named MIshka!

So with a couple new additions to the dolly family it's not quite as lonely as before~

I'm hoping to soon learn how to play the Cello! I have a lovely (but super cheap and kinda broken pink cello that I'm hoping isn't too awful to learn how to play on!)

Anyways this is one of my longest posts ever!

I think maybe I'll have to break up the catch-up posts into a few~

International Lolita Day

good and bad

Good news and bad news it seems today though....
Good news first!
Oliver had a lump on his neck and the vets were able to remove it! He's just fine~
(while he was in surgery too, they neutered him. Poor little guy must be in pain...)
Also, CATS is going great! Everyone should come see it!

Evening! It's been so long. Sorry for such a longtime in between updates.
Still, even though I'm writing nothing really important has happened between the last post and this one...
Nothing but the growing anticipation of the upcoming adventure to Japan!
(And graduation!)
And I'm excited to get new clothes for my trip. (Very cold in Kanazawa in July I hear...)

Afternoon! Been a while, huh?
The play just finished up last weekend and I'm so so soo glad we're through with it all. On the last show my parents brought me flowers... So nice of them!

So pretty!

And to make it even better "STAR testing" is this week for all the underclassmen, so us seniors get to come to school late and just kick around. I went out for breakfast with some friends this morning. It was so nice to go at a slower pace. Prom is this weekend, but I won't be attending. I'll be at my friends LAN party instead~ I'm looking forward to nerd-ing it up, hehe~

At the moment I'm waiting for Brendan to come and visit...
He's over an hour late and won't answer his phone.
I'm worried.

I hope he's okay.

Hot Chocolate

Good evening!
It's been a while since I updated.
I've hardly had enough time to even check my email!
Anyways well, this is how the week's been so far~
On Monday the weather was SO super hot.
Oh man, it had to be over 100 degrees!

Eesh!

And to top it off, rehearsal began.
Theatre became such a huge part of my high school career...
It's tragic how I've begun to despise it now.

Maybe I'll just up and quit.
Maybe.

Probably not.

Anyways on Monday I woke up and my mother said
"let's leave early, I have a meeting to get to"
but we didn't end up leaving early so she decided to take me with her.
I got out of one of my theatre classes, which was great, and I got some yummy fruit for breakfast~

I got a hot chocolate and ta-da! As the waitress placed it in front of me I realized the foam on the top had formed into a heart~! I thought it would be a lucky sign for today.
I was rather wrong. Nevertheless I snapped a few photos with my mothers phone.

"Perhaps tomorrow will be better."

And it was rather~
But the best news of the week began today, on Thursday!
My new doll arrived!
She's so so pretty.
Only thing is....

I payed to have her get freckles! But she had none.
Luckily I emailed them and they gave me the money back.
But still, I wish she had freckles...

I'll ask Becca to help me paint them myself~

And if it was too hot on Monday, it was WAY too cold today!
Crazy California weather!

Today opening night went well!

Happy Easter!
Having a pretty laid-back day~
Got a bunch of carnations, AND Cadbury Eggs!
Woohooo~ Took some photos of the carnations and another of the sky and my Hello Kitty pinwheel. I'm definitely feeling the spring "mood" now that we're down the mountain again!

Also,
I'm thinking about getting a dog soon. Probably after my trip to Japan. I've been thinking maybe a Pomeranian, though Brendan says they bark a lot. (Though, if I can potty train a rodent I think I can train a dog to not bark...)

April Showers

Oh man! Guess what~
Well I'mma tell you anyways.
It snowed last night...
So much for
!

But I guess in the mountains a light snow is like "april showers" right?
Maybe that's what that is.
But still, brrrr!

And to top that off our neighbors must think we're insane! We were the only ones riding around on the boat today. On the entire lake. The whole thing. No one at all was around. I can see them looking out their windows and shaking their heads saying "those Misners!".

In the mountains they call the people who don't live here "flat-landers". Sometimes we look so much like flat-landers that it's ridiculous. But I mean we're not really flat-landers... We're kind of like... "part-timers" or something, hahah~ but today we pretty much could have fooled anyone. It was fun though.

I don't really have any new photos to post today, but we're heading back home later!

The realization that summer is approaching is starting to sink in...
and well, honestly...
I'm a bit nervous for the summer.
I'm going to Japan in July with my father.
We'll be in Tokyo for about a week, but then he's leaving to Australia.
I'll be going to Kanasawa from Tokyo and staying there for about 3 weeks with a host family.
In a foreign country.
By myself.

Oh, what an adventure it will be!

The storm is done! Bring out the rainbows!
It's starting to feel like spring!

Miss me? I missed being able to use my computer for more than a few minutes.
Even now though it freaks out and shuts down.
I thought it was a virus but my anti-virus says there is nothing.... hum...
But at least I got a lot of time to do other things- like practicing my photography some more.

Good evening!
Feelin' better- still a bit ill.
I hope I'm not contagious 'cause I'm coming back to school tomorrow...
Today has been very laid-back. Pretty much every day should be this way I think. School brings too much stress in my life. Well at least I have good grades! (Mostly A's and a couple B's!) Not like it particularly matters seeing as I'll be going to a community college next year... Tomorrow I'm hoping to see Brendan. Haven't seen him in too long! Hope I don't get him sick.

He got me a new dress~
I'll find a way to pay him back! Somehow!
It's a really cute Lolita style dress, so I'm excited it arrived. (I hope it ends up fitting well!) Lolita fashion means so much to me. It's more than just a style of clothes; to me it is my way of living. My friend, Frances, says I'm an "expert". I dunno if I could say I'm an expert but I am rather knowledgeable on the subject. Hahaha o3o; I'd really love to meet more Sweet Lolis. All my Lolita friends are Gothic or Punk or >ugh< Ero. I could rant for pages and pages about how Ero Loli is not Lolita fashion, but I'll spare you for today. I could honestly rant on and on about the terrible things people who don't understand the ideas behind it do to the general opinion of the fashion... That's right Ero Lolis and greasy "Otaku" girls! I'm looking at you! That rant will have to be for another day I think.

Good morning!
I woke up feeling terrible this morning but I've been getting better; my fever is down and my headache isn't as severe! I've been watching this show- "Make Me a Supermodel". Colin is adorable. Oliver is also adorable and we're just chillin' together. I managed to snap a photo of him~

He's decided to make my tissue box a hide-out...

Aside from Oliver being adorable, not much has been going on.
Might be at school tomorrow!

With nothing better to do I figured I'd post again.
I wanted to gush about my adorable little pet rat, Oliver

When I got Oli he was small enough to fit in my hand.
Now he's a giant fatty because I spoil him so so much~

My brother also has a little ratty named Benat. Oli is the gray one!
Oliver is really hyper all the time so it's hard to get photos of him that aren't terribly blurry.

Benat though is a regular gentleman and let's me photograph him often.
Oliver is gaining so much weight! I sewed a little hammock for him to rest in, but one day i got home from school and he had somehow pulled it down! The chubby little thing!
Rats really are in my opinion the best pets there are.
They are cleanly and smart and loyal~
Easy to transport and easy to train!
Only thing is...

People are so scared of them!
I'll never figure out why~
Pet rats aren't sewer rats!

Hello again :D

and happy St. Patrick's Day!
Today I woke up running a fever and basically have been super lazy all day...
So I figured I'd like to show the world my dolls!

I've collected Pullips and BJDs for just over a year now, and since I'm still in school it hasn't really been something I can devote a whole lot of time and money to. Nevertheless I have 5 lovely dolls (the 6th is on her way [link]!)

This is Mouse. She's sort of "under construction" at the moment. I bought her as a My Melody Pullip doll but recently she's become my little project. Waiting for my next paycheck so I can get her a wig and new eyes!

This is Hatter. She's a Prunella Pullip doll.
Lovely little fish-lipped Hatter~

And Evalette! My very first Pullip! She is an Aquel, but I changed her from her stock wig to this cute pink one~

And Persephone~!
She was my very first BJD, and the wig she wears more often actually isn't in this photo.
Oh well!

My second, and only male, BJD. He hasn't really opened up to me, and I can't figure out his first name!
